Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has officially revealed that her next album, Starr Girl, will arrive on August 14, 2026.
The announcement came during her appearance at Teen Vogue Fest 2026 in Brooklyn, where she closed the event with a live performance and spoke about her evolution as an artist. Starr described the upcoming project as a reflection of her growth, confidence and creative freedom.
The album was developed across Lagos, New York and Los Angeles, allowing the singer to experiment with different sounds and influences. Starr Girl is expected to blend Afrobeats with pop and R&B while maintaining the distinctive personality that helped establish Ayra Starr internationally.
Her global breakthrough accelerated with songs such as “Rush,” which earned her a Grammy nomination and introduced her music to audiences far beyond Africa.
